“My scan came out with no cancer detected anywhere!”

“I had my PET (PSMA) scan yesterday and today I went to the Urologist for the results.

The PET (PSMA) scan looks for prostate specific membrane antigen which is a protein found on the surface of prostate cancer cells.

The scan itself is very advanced technology and will generally register any cancer of over 3mm.
My scan came out with no cancer detected anywhere. The scan was completely clear!

This according to the Urologist, steeped in science, this is both a blessing and a curse. The latter because they want to see where it is so they can burn or pharmaceutical it. They want to know what is there.

I was stunned and so grateful for this sign that all of what, and who, I have reengaged with has been such a great help to me.

With a PSA blood result rising trend which I mentioned on our last call( the last result showed a significant slowing of the reading) there is still cancer in my body- most likely a very small amount and where the prostate used to be. Perhaps some tissue/ cells were left behind inadvertently from the operation four years ago.

In my heart it is a wonderful result, and a great leap forward on a journey where I must stay on the path of healing, exercise, nutrition, meditation, restoration, and relaxation.
To remember my voice and to be my authentic self.
